Anecdotal: As a sophomore this prospect won nearly every defensive award in the nation, but this economics and industry major from Windsor, California was an all-state selection two years in a row and has an athletic pedigree. His sister Ashley was a softball player at Illinois while his father was a former college athlete. He was also a stand out shot putter in high school.

Final Thought: My first impression of Scooby Wright was that he has a little bit of Brian Urlacher or a slower Luke Kuechly in his game. He doesn't flow to the ball as well as I expected or is he as aggressive, but he is a good tackler who can cover anything whether it be on the outside, or in the slot. Wright shows some good hip movement for a linebacker, good short area quickness, plays his assignments well, but lacks foot speed or sideline-to-sideline speed to play the WILL. Wright scould be a first round selection but his injury hurt his stock.
